Newsletter

The
Newsletter Committee creates, edits and publishes the monthly PPCUG
newsletter, the Gazette.
The
current chairperson is Don Lewis and he is assisted by Dick Riesz.
The physical distribution is managed by Kay Cargill.
This Committee welcomes ideas and content for newsletter articles.

Webmaster
|
The
Webmaster Committee creates and maintains the PPCUG website.
Don Lewis is the current chairperson.
Larry Drake and Alan Baker, assisting in the
redesign and redevelopment of the PPCUG web site.
Ideas for content or website improvement can be sent to webmaster@ppcuginc.com.

Program
|
The Program Committee is responsible for providing a program
for each of the monthly PPCUG meetings, assisting the various SIG leaders as
requested and for managing the Computer Learning Centers.
The chairperson is Alan Baker. Other
members of this Committee are Chris Lambros and Gordon Botting.

Product
Review
|
The
Product Review Committee is responsible for acquiring software for our members
to evaluate and for getting the software reviews published in the Gazette and
on the website.
The chairperson is Peter Kaufmann.
Pete welcomes ideas for software to be reviewed – contact him at
456-9353.

Membership
|
The
Membership Committee, chaired by Joan Carroll , is responsible for maintaining
records of all members, promoting membership and membership renewals and
handling membership dues payments.
|
Publicity
|
The
Publicity Committee is responsible for creating publicity plans and materials
and getting these materials placed in various media, including newspapers and
post boards. This position is open.

Equipment
Custody
|
The
Equipment Custody Committee is responsible for maintaining the control and
operational integrity of all of PPCUG’s hardware and software.
This group handles incoming and outgoing donations, the equipment in
the Computer Learning Centers and the software licensing control and records.
Bob Willis is the chairperson.

APCUG
Representation
|
PPCUG
belongs to the Association of PC User Groups
(APCUG), and Peter Kaufmann represents PPCUG with this organization.
|
Funding Committee
|
This committee suggests projects for raising funds for the
PPCUG. We are also responsible for awarding scholarships to deserving
individuals or families who desire to join the Group but cannot afford to do
so. At present we have $400 in our scholarship fund. Current projects are the
Microsoft Word Manuals, encouragement of donations of used computer equipment. Committee members are
George Shields Cindy West and Jim Buxton, Chairman.
